Claire Combredet joined TBF in 2024 as an Environmental Engagement Program Coordinator and primarily focuses on its clean boating initiative. She has a B.S. in Ecosystems Management and Forestry from the University of California, Berkeley with a focus on water systems, and a minor in Spanish Language. For her capstone research project, she focused on analyzing the effects of a road crossing on a tributary of the Opunohu River in Mo’orea, French Polynesia. Before TBF, Claire worked with TreePeople to help improve shade equity and post-wildfire climate resilience by engaging volunteers and planting hundreds of trees. Claire has experience with mentorship, having served as a peer advisor for the College of Natural Resources and the lead officer for the French conversation group at UC Berkeley. Claire is passionate about contributing to a healthy ecosystem and monitoring natural resources to ensure they are accessible and safe for the community to enjoy locally and globally. Claire loves to backpack, scuba dive, listen to and create music, and spend time with friends and family outside of work.
