Cassandra Erickson

Cassandra joined The Bay Foundation in May of 2025 and supports both the Coastal Adaptation Program and LMU and TBF’s Coastal Research Institute as a Field Technician. She received her B.S. in Environmental Science from the College of Science and Engineering at Loyola Marymount University. Prior to joining TBF, Cassandra volunteered for 4.5 years at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden as a camp instructor and public educator, engaging with park visitors about wildlife conservation. She also contributed to research projects investigating the impact of climate change on intertidal mussels and the impact of dune restoration on the geomorphology of sandy shorelines. She’s passionate about public transportation, public education, and community engagement, and in her free time, she loves making art.
